Josys Launches New Access Governance Toolkit to Automate IT Operations and Bolster SaaS Security

PALO ALTO, Calif., Feb. 12, 2025 — Josys, the SaaS Management platform that simplifies how IT works, today announced the launch of cutting-edge access governance tools designed to transform how organizations deliver, monitor, and protect user access for their SaaS applications. These innovative capabilities include a self-service employee request portal, an automated approval workflow engine, and intelligent access review surveys. Boosting IT Efficiency with Self-Service Employee Portal and Automated Workflows

In a recent survey of 500 IT departments, Josys identified that roughly two-thirds of organizations lack sufficient automation for their provisioning, deprovisioning, and access review workflows, resulting in 52% of companies reporting that it takes longer than 5 hours to get an individual employee set up with the proper SaaS apps. Nearly 20% of survey respondents said that it takes multiple work days to fully deploy all the appropriate SaaS entitlements per employee. These findings point to a significant opportunity for efficiency gains in how organizations are currently deploying and managing SaaS on behalf of their end users.  

Josys’ new access governance features automate the request, approval, and audit processes that are creating huge time sinks for organizations today. By adopting this new approach, organizations will not only improve the speed at which they are able to deliver app access, but they will gain complete oversight and control over a historically fragmented process.  Employees will benefit by being able to access the tools they need, at the moment they need them. 

The Josys self-service employee portal offers a custom-branded experience for end users to easily visualize their current app footprint and to submit relevant IT inquiries, including license requests, permission modifications, and procurement evaluations.  Employees can track request progress in a dedicated dashboard and initiate a dialogue with the appropriate approver for a status update.  All requests are archived to satisfy future compliance requirements.    

To minimize time spent on approvals and cumbersome provisioning activities, Josys’ new no-code workflow builder allows IT administrators to automate these processes using a simple, yet powerful action engine. Admins can customize approval workflows based on criteria such as app category or departmental policy, and can feature tiered approval structures when multiple stakeholders are required. Approvers receive instant Slack or email notifications that guide them to complete the review process. Automated approval or rejection rules can also be set to expedite access responses across the board. Global dashboards aggregate all request activity into a single pane of glass for process oversight and to help track SLA performance. 

To ensure continuous access compliance, Josys has expanded its access review capabilities with improved support for muti-app surveys that are ideal for tracking access across quarterly or annual cycles.  Enhanced access review analytics simplify data aggregation and facilitate proactive survey follow-up.  The new mobile-optimized experience makes it easier for end users to complete their survey while on the go, improving completion rates.
