Enhancing SaaS Visibility and Identity Governance

Ever wondered about SaaS activities conducted out of IT’s visibility or how to govern it more effectively? This month’s newsletter features expanded SaaS visibility, extended policy coverage, and workflows tuned for more precision and connectivity.

New Feature Releases

Flexible SaaS Discovery – Even Beyond Allowlists

We’re excited to introduce FreeFlow Mode, giving IT teams and MSPs deeper visibility into how SaaS is actually used across the organization.

You can now track all app URLs accessed across your environment - not just apps on the allowlist. This means you can uncover previously invisible third-party and non-sanctioned apps, such as banking, travel, or niche tools, that may pose security, compliance, or data-leak risks.

For IT admins, this enables stronger access governance by exposing shadow IT early, assessing risk, and taking action before unmanaged apps impact security or compliance.

For MSPs, FreeFlow Mode delivers greater oversight across clients, helping you standardize controls, reduce blind spots, and proactively manage SaaS risk at scale.

The result: Up to 3x more app discovery/user, faster risk identification, and tighter identity governance - without relying solely on predefined allowlists.

Feature Enhancements

Policy Management for Tracked Apps

Policy management just got more powerful. Create and enforce policy workflows for Tracked Apps, not just apps with native integrations. Ensuring broader SaaS coverage, eliminating blind spots, and reducing the risks associated with unmanaged or unmonitored applications.

For Super Admins, Josys now extends AI-driven policy recommendations to include Tracked Apps. By analyzing real usage patterns, Josys can suggest relevant policies and help define access rules faster while keeping them aligned with actual behavior.

This enhancement also introduces richer policy insights, including:

  • Assignment status of Tracked Apps across policies
  • Outlier detection to identify users with non-compliant access
  • Cross-policy validation to ensure apps are covered by the right policies

The result: stronger governance & compliance, reduced manual effort, and consistent policy enforcement across your entire SaaS environment - including apps beyond native integrations..

Raise Jira Tickets Directly from Workflows

Maintaining a single source of truth for admin actions shouldn’t come with a productivity penalty. For many IT teams, following internal protocols means manually creating a Jira ticket for every single user provisioned, deprovisioned, or license changed - a process that is as tedious as it is essential. To solve this, we’ve introduced this capability directly within Josys workflows.

Configure workflow Actions to automatically raise tickets in Jira projects – without switching tools or screens. Fully automating the process of managing employees' IT lifecycle, resolving actions automatically, or raising Jira tickets for exceptions.

The result: track every workflow-driven action in one place, ensuring all requests follow existing internal processes and approval protocols. Reducing manual handoffs improves visibility and keeps identity operations fully aligned with your ticketing system.

Precise Onboarding Workflows with Advanced User Filters

Identity doesn’t stay static but access often does. When users change roles, teams, or locations, access is rarely updated fast or accurately enough.

Hence, we added a new enhancement to our workflows where you can now trigger onboarding workflows based on changes in user attributes like Department, Job Title, and Location. This gives IT teams and MSPs the flexibility to run targeted, context-aware workflows for scenarios such as role changes, relocations, or department moves - automatically adjusting access to match the user’s new responsibilities.

App Integrations

New Integrations

Josys expands its API-based app integrations, with new native support for NinjaOne & Lanscope.

Lanscope as Device Source

Josys offers a deeper integration for Lanscope by treating it as an external data source within the platform. With this integration, customers can now automatically sync device data from Lanscope to Josys through a one-time setup. Any additions or updates in Lanscope are automatically reflected in Josys, eliminating the need for manual intervention or context switching.

App Usage Tracking Integrations

Josys now supports app usage tracking for 16 more SaaS apps. Including Dynatrace, Fivetran, Klipfolio, LaunchDarkly, Mail Dealer, Make, NI Collabo, Pipefy, Pipeliner CRM, Planview AgilePlace, Podio, Snowflake, Splunk, Teamgate, Thinkst Canary, and Timecamp.
