2024 Recap: New Features & Product Highlights

As we kick off 2025, I’m thrilled to recap some of the most exciting and impactful updates we’ve rolled out in the past year at Josys. Our team has worked tirelessly to enhance our SaaS Management platform for IT teams worldwide.  With these updates, Josys is delivering more visibility, security, and control of your SaaS stack. Here are a few key feature highlights:

New License Management & Optimization Features

Licenses Dashboard

Managing software licenses has never been easier! This year, we introduced the Licenses Dashboard, a centralized view to tracking subscriptions, uncovering underutilized licenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. With support for a number of applications and counting—including Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 (Azure AD), Salesforce, Dropbox, Github, Box, Miro Enterprise, Zeplin, Duo, and Smartsheet—you’re equipped with unparalleled visibility and control.

License Modification from Josys

Deprovision access, delete licenses, and modify licenses effortlessly through the intuitive “Modify License” dropdown feature, streamlining license management and identifying cost savings for dozens of applications.

Enhanced App Discovery Capabilities

Our app discovery tools have greatly expanded to identify all SaaS apps being used across your organization, helping identify shadow IT and surface usage trends.

New Discovery Engine Sources Added

• In addition to Google Workspace, direct app integrations, APIs, and the Josys Browser Extension, Josys now integrates with Microsoft Azure AD and Okta SSO to easily discover app usage across your organization.
• We also expedited shadow IT discovery results to 15 minutes of any app being accessed, allowing IT admins to act fast!

Josys Browser Extension Enhancements

• Installed Josys Browser Extensions discover business-related SaaS apps that are accessed for over 180 seconds by users.
• IT admins can also track which users have activated the extension and have enabled remote activation via MDMs or Google Workspace Admin.

Integration with Netskope’s Cloud Confidence Index™ (CCI)

• With our new Netskope integration, IT admins can now view over 14,500 discovered apps’ risk levels, app categories, and compliance certificates
• IT admins can also streamline app approval workflows with the addition of app approval statuses.

Device Management Enhancements

Microsoft Intune Device Integration

• Device management is more streamlined and unified than ever with our Microsoft Intune integration. In addition to integrating Intune devices into Josys, IT admins can now automatically assign Intune user assignments and track deleted devices in Josys, ensuring accurate and efficient inventory management.

New APIs Released

Automation was a key focus in 2024, and we delivered with new APIs to simplify IT workflows.

• Device API: Automate device-related tasks.
• User Profile API: Streamline user profile management, reducing manual effort and increasing efficiency.

Multi-Tenant Portal Launched

Multi-Tenant Portal & Dashboards

• For organizations managing multiple clients or subsidiaries, our new Multi-Tenant Portal is a game-changer.
• Easily view each tenant, their alerts, and their SaaS expenses from a single dashboard. Go deeper by clicking into each client for full visibility and SaaS control.

New Access Management Features

Privileged Access User Insights

Security and control are paramount, and we’ve made strides to enhance your view into each app’s admin users and privileged access roles. With our new Privileged Access User feature, you can view and modify admin roles directly from Josys, ensuring users have the appropriate permissions. The process is seamless, with live updates available through our streamlined dropdown interface.

Access Review Surveys

SaaS audits have never been easier with access review surveys, which let you:

• Send surveys to users, helping IIT team clarify use of unknown, discovered apps or underutilized licenses.
• Collect and analyze actionable feedback.
• Update and align access permissions and purchases with business needs, better securing and optimizing your SaaS budget.
  
  

SSO & MFA Monitoring

• We’ve strengthened security monitoring by enabling you to spot apps and users without SSO or MFA enabled. This helps close security gaps and ensures your organization remains protected. Contact us to get this new feature enabled on your account.

300+ Direct App Integrations

Our growing list of direct integrations now includes over 300 applications! We are continuing to expand the list as well as enhance the integrations to allow for more features and functionality of the apps, such as modifying licenses, usage insights, account deletion and more.

To make management easier, you can now also integrate Josys alerts into Slack, expediting coordination of critical updates directly to your preferred Slack channels.
